2013 was a great year. As we head into February, it’s a good idea to look back and think about the best campaigns from last year and what made them so successful.
Campaigns like Kmart’s hilarious Ship My Pants ad or the nostalgic Internet Explorer video that takes you back to the 90s. There is something special about all of them. Something that stands out and makes you want to share with your friends.
Even though this infographic features mostly major brands, the same things that make their campaigns go viral can help you reach a larger audience.
Pay attention to the feelings they give you and the audience each campaign targets. Think about how YOU can create content that makes your audience react the same way.

Hi Galen, thanks so much for featuring our infographic! I absolutely agree with you that each campaign tapped in to raw human emotion, the clever part is identifying it and building a story around it. My personal favourite is still the Child of the Nineties by Microsoft – just wish they would make a browser as good as their advertising!
Hi Peter, Of course! It’s fun to look back at all the best campaigns from 2013. Thanks!
